BUT… 48 hours after we began our trek home, we eventually
saw this:
The dawn above American soil. And then after that, we were met at the airport by my mother holding this sign:
And a clean house full of already framed pictures, balloons, a stocked fridge, and pink flowers J
We spent the rest of the day unpacking and repacking and 10
hours later, Sean was on the road headed to Texas. God bless that man. His energy is beyond me…
Bottom line: God is good.
We made it to Ghana, had an unbelievable time, SPENT 3 DAYS WITH OUR
DAUGHTER and added an official new generation of McConnell’s to the family tree.
Life is good... and while we continue to miss our sweet baby, we pray that those in charge of her paperwork would move swiftly and efficiently, and that she'll be home in her pjs, playing with the dogs, eating new foods, and sleeping like a rock, next to this mama soon!
We're getting closer...
